Their SINTAMU project consists of contemporary dance productions and workshops that promote peace-building by creating a safe space for creative interaction, social inquiry and reflection.

The Taleju temple, sitting on the roof of the Mul Chowk, the 'main courtyard' of the Patan Royal Palace Complex is regarded as one of the defining features of the Patan Darbar square. The 'Himalayan earthquake' of 18 September 2011 affecting Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet, badly damaged the already weak temple.

The Wat Pa Klang Thung temple, which literally means 'Forest Monastery in the Middle of the Field', is an isolated Theravada Buddhist monastery on the west bank of Pathum Thani province in Thailand, built around the year 1815. The Wat Pa Klang Thung ordination hall was affected by flooding for nearly 4 months, from September to December 2011.

The 11th century Ikvi Church of St. George is one of the most significant landmarks of Georgia, inscribed on the Georgian national heritage list. From May to July 2011 heavy rains and floods did great damage to the church endangering the valuable murals inside.

Prof. John Collins roughly estimates that about 10% of the the Bokoor African Popular Music Archives Foundation (BAPMAF) archives were destroyed beyond repair due to severe flooding on 26 October 2011. The damage was even aggravated since more and more people are blocking natural water ways with illegal settlements or waste dumping and excessive water flooded into the surrounding areas.
