28.3.2013 Opening and book launch 'Out of the Ruins'
Exhibition opening and book launch of 'Out of the Ruins: Bam Photography Rescue Project' on 10 April 2013 in the Prince Claus Fund Gallery. Director Christa Meindersma will conduct a Q&A with Herman Divendal, former director AIDA Nederland. The exhibition and the book pay homage to the destroyed city of Bam and it’s photographers.

‘Carnal’ is a poignant homage to the victims of drug- and gender-related violence. In ‘Carnal’, 2012 Prince Claus Laureate Teresa Margolles exhibits artworks that combine the formal strategies of post-minimalism with the horror embedded in the bodies of those who died a violent death
9.11.2012 Premiere 'Sweet Dreams' at IDFA
'Sweet Dreams', a documentary about Ingoma Nshya, Rwanda's first and only all-women drumming group, will premiere on 19 November at IDFA. After the screening, six members of Ingoma Nshya will perform live in the Brakke Grond in Amsterdam. Following the performance, Prince Claus Fund director Christa Meindersma will conduct a Q&A with the drummers and Rob Fruchtman, one of the film's directors.

The only cultural festival and the largest public celebration in Somaliland. Somalia’s literacy rate is ranked in the bottom ten world-wide. Nevertheless, there is a great demand for reading among young people, particularly in Somaliland.
7.7.2012 Saving living heritage in Nepal
The Taleju temple, sitting on the roof of the Mul Chowk, the 'main courtyard' of the Patan Royal Palace Complex is regarded as one of the defining features of the Patan Darbar square. The 'Himalayan earthquake' of 18 September 2011 affecting Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet, badly damaged the already weak temple.
