Three Crossings El-Salahi, Hammons, Brown

Final Image Xxx Crossings

The Prince Claus Fund, together with the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) presented ‘Three Crossings: El-Salahi, Hammons, Brouwn’ from 23 November 2017 through 2 March 2018.

The exhibition featured works by Ibrahim El-Salahi (Sudan, UK), David Hammons (USA), and Stanley Brouwn (Surinam, Netherlands) at three Amsterdam locations: the Prince Claus Fund Gallery, EENWERK and De Waalse Kerk.

Conceived by curator Salah M Hassan as multi-sited, this exhibition brought together works of three contemporary artists, the work of each installed in a different space in Amsterdam. The exhibition foregrounded each artist’s experimentation with the genre of the “artist’s book”.
